It is with our most profound condolences that the Clark-Williams Funeral Home Family announces the passing of Mother Norma Jean Crowder of Gainesville, Virginia formerly Grenada, Mississippi
Mother Crowder passed away on October 7, 2019. She was born on September 11, 1932. Mother Crowder received her Bachelor's degree from Alcorn State University and later earned her Master's degree from Tennessee State University. Mother Crowder taught Home Economics and Family Life subjects for grades 9 through 12 in the Grenada Public School District. She retired after 34 years of service. In addition, she taught sewing in night classes for adults.
Mother Crowder united with Belle Flower M. B. Church and served in the folllowing capacities: The Choir, The Finance Committee, Pastor's Aide Committee, Sunday School Teacher, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and Mother's Board. She moved to Gainesville, VA in October 2013 and started faithfully attending and later joined Manassas Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor David Donahue.
Mother Crowder is survived by her sons, Rodney Crowder of Gainesville,, VA and Ryan Jones of Stafford, VA; daughters, Yolunda J. Crowder of Madison, MS and Gwendolyn Cain of Grenada; and brother, William Patton of Louisiana.
